Stevie Ray Vaughan - The Soul to Soul Sessions (1985)

Stephen "Stevie" Ray Vaughan (3 de octubre de 1954 - 27 de agosto de 1990) fue un guitarrista y cantante que fusionó los géneros de blues y el rock en los años 80. Desarrolló un sonido y estilo, basado en artistas como Albert King, Jimi Hendrix, Freddie King u Otis Rush. La revista Rolling Stone lo cita como el séptimo mejor guitarrista de todos los tiempos.

Stevie Ray Vaughan nació el 3 de octubre de 1954, en el Hospital Metodista de Dallas, Texas. A los siete años tuvo su primera experiencia con una guitarra cuando le regalan una de juguete. En 1963 compró su primer disco, "Wham" de Lonnie Mack. Lo escuchó tantas veces que su padre lo terminó rompiendo de envidia puesto que él era un músico frustrado.

En 2003 la revista Rolling Stone lo eligió como el 7º mejor guitarrista de la historia del Blues & Blues Rock.
